Capture the beauty of McKee Botanical Garden through the timeless style of the Impressionists. In this three-session, hands-on painting class, participants will learn techniques inspired by Claude Monet while creating their own works featuring McKee's iconic water lilies and lush tropical landscapes.

Throughout the course, participants will:

• Learn the fundamentals of Impressionist painting with a focus on Claude Monet's techniques.
• Paint McKee Botanical Garden's beautiful water lilies and landscapes as artistic inspiration.
• Explore the symbolism of water lilies and gardens in Asian art and culture.
• Discover the work of both historic Impressionist masters and contemporary artists.
• Meet one of McKee's gardeners for a special presentation on the Garden's renowned water lily collection, providing a deeper appreciation of the plants that inspire the artwork.

Class Information

• Participants will provide their own art supplies. A supply list will be provided by the instructor prior to the first class.
• Tables and tabletop easels will be provided.
• No prior painting experience is necessary. Beginners and experienced artists are welcome.
